Author’s Note: Alongside my free Friday reflections, I also share a second piece each week on Tuesdays—often a poem, sometimes a resource—for paid subscribers. These posts are part of my commitment to writing regularly and building a sustainable creative life.

If you’re curious and want to explore before subscribing, feel free to reply to this email. I’d be happy to send you a sample. And as always, the Friday letters will remain free and open to all.

Being human is challenging. We are individuals who long for connection—to feel seen, understood, and appreciated. Relationships are vital for our survival. Yet, in our fast-paced world, it often feels like everyone is rushing by without stopping to check in. This can leave us feeling invisible, ignored, and questioning our worth.

In these moments, it becomes essential to return to ourselves. There, we can rediscover the solace and strength that come from our own love and appreciation. Trusting in our own worth makes us resilient. This poem explores the journey of moving from seeking validation from others to recognizing how deeply we matter to ourselves.

As you read, I invite you to reflect on this question:

When have you longed to hear “You matter,” and how might you begin offering that to yourself today?
